Friday 22 April is Earth Day, and we're celebrating by getting our hands dirty (literally!) and teaming up with Tree Project to plant some trees.

Since 1970, Earth Day has been an annual event that focuses on environmental issues and inspires people worldwide to commit to a more sustainable future.

Excess carbon emissions have put our planet in grave danger, which, in turn, puts our well-being and livelihoods under threat. Along with many other changes we can make to improve the conditions of our climate, tree planting is one of the simplest, most effective ways we can combat carbon emissions.

Trees filter the air we breathe and the water we drink. They also absorb harmful carbon from the earth's atmosphere. The Plants for the Planet program is our way of helping restore the balance and assist in the reintroduction of some of the world's lost tree populations. Now that's fancy.

To get involved, simply join our Plants for the Planet program, and you could have a tree planted on your behalf. And make sure you check out the Tree Project website to get involved with upcoming volunteer tree planting events.
